Special Occasions

Ballachulish House offers facilities for weddings and other special events ranging from small parties to groups of up to 250 people. You may choose from several options including the use of our comfortable cleidgh room to the hire of a grand marquee situated on the croquet lawn. In addition we offer the use of our Golf Course Club House for the more casual group parties. Morning, afternoon and evening events are all possibilities.

We provide services to help make your event a truly special occasion starting with the planning process. Our chef will create a custom menu to meet your every need and desire—including budget-- ranging from simple but elegant buffets to 7 course sit down dinners. We also arrange for flowers, photography and music from any genre including classic Scottish piping or the fiddle. In addition, we can arrange for guests to be entertained locally with water sports, fishing, hiking and of course golf! Ballachulish House is licensed to conduct wedding ceremonies on the premises if desired. There are also many local churchs of all denominations in the area from which to choose. We can assist with licensing arrangements in the local town of Fort William as well.

Ballachulish House generally caters multiple events each year, so it is wise to book in advance. Should your party require additional accommodation, we can also make arrangements with other local hotels—some of which are within a stone’s throw—to keep your guests within easy walking distance of the House.
